Search Complete
Academic Search Complete is a comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 9,810 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. Full text coverage of information in: archaeology, area studies, astronomy, biology, chemistry, ethnic & multicultural studies, general science, geography, law, mathematics, music, physics, psychology, religion & theology, women's studies, and other fields. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 journals.

Full-text of the Encyclopedia Britannica including
photos, drawings, flags, biographies, and geographical articles. Also includes
the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
ERIC is the Education
Resources Information Center, the "new" ERIC service of the Department of Education.
ERIC (access via CSA) The ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to educational-related literature. In addition, ERIC provides coverage of conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs.
MEDLINE, the
primary index of the National Library of Medicine, provides citations and abstracts
to authoritative medical information covering medicine, pathology, toxicology,
psychiatry, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. MEDLINE
allows users to search abstracts and MeSH Headings from thousands of scholarly
journals. MEDLINE is available in several versions, with each one offering specific
features and distinct search formats:

Medicine offers links to MEDLINE through: PubMed and NLM Gateway.
These are free
sites open to anyone.
Physical Education Index CSA Physical Education Index allows all researchers and professionals in the field to acquire accurate and scholarly information in this comprehensive database. These abstracts feature a wide variety of content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to dance. Other coverage includes sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Health education and physical therapy are also covered as they continue to become more prevalent in our society.

Health and Wellness Resource Center
Access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference resources such as Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, Gale Encyclopedia of Childhood and Adolescence, and PDR Family Guide to Health and Nutrition. Key health web sites are also listed here, as well as 2, 200 general interest health publications, and over 400 health and medical journals.
Health Reference Center - Academic
An integrated collection of general interest health and fitness magazines, medical and professional periodicals, reference books and pamphlets. Topics included in the collection include information about alcoholism, AIDS, fitness, psychology, cancer, pediatrics, and more.
netLibrary
collection of full-text electronic books (ebooks) includes a wide variety of subject content from both popular and scholarly texts. Users can search across the entire eBook collection for authors, titles, or keywords, and they can search within books for keywords and phrases. Users may read or browse through ebooks for an unlimited amount of time. A title may be unavailable temporarily when all NetLibrary copies are in use by other patrons.

TAHPERD Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (TAHPERD) is a not-for-profit professional association. This Texas-based association includes professional and students members serving education from kindergarten through college.

JAMA & Archives from the American Medical Association
Mayo Clinic Search for information about specific diseases or conditions, recommended treatments, drugs, and healthy living. Includes links to health-related calculators.
Oncolink an execellent general site on cancer and related information.
PubMed Search the National Library of Medicine's database to obtain citations to articles in medical journals.
WebMD Health provides objective, trustworthy, and timely health information
