Chance Database This data base contains materials designed help teach a Chance course or a more standard introductory probability or statistics course. The aim of Chance is to make students more informed, and critical, readers of current news that uses probability and statistics as reported in daily newspapers such as "The New York Times" and current journals and magazines such as "Chance", "Science", "Nature", and the "New England Journal of Medicine".

Social Explorer This is the free version of Oxford's premium e-resource by the same name. It is an online research tool designed to provide quick and easy access to modern and historical census data and demographic information. The easy-to-use web interface facilitates the creation of fast, intuitive, and illustrative maps and reports that aid visual analysis and understanding of demography and social change throughout history. The site currently includes data from the entire US Census from 1790 to 2000, all annual updates from the American Community Survey to 2008, original Census tract-level estimates for 2006 and 2007, the Religious Congregations and Membership Study from 1980 to 2000, and 2002 Carbon Emissions Data from the Vulcan Project. You can customize, save, print, and email maps and reports, and export them to a variety of programs and statistical packages for further analysis and use. This free version is scaled down from the subscription product, but you will still find access to hundreds of maps and reports.

Social Science Space Socialsciencespace brings social scientists together to explore, share and shape the big issues in social science, from funding to impact. This online social network features blogs with the most current thinking from key players in social science, a forum for discussions, a resource centre with free videos, reports and slides that support these discussions, as well as funding and job opportunity notices.
