In honor of Earth Day this month, our April Reference Item of the month is a resource called GreenFILE.
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. The publications indexed include scholarly, government, and general-interest titles such as

GreenFILE includes content on the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments, and what can be done at each level to minimize these effects. Since GreenFILE is multidisciplinary by nature, you may find it helpful in locating resources for a variety of courses, including education, law, architecture, health, and technology, as well as environmental studies. Topics covered include global climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.
