Reference Item of the Month:
Credo Reference Center
Credo Reference. This particular service allows one to search one reference work, be it an encyclopedia or a dictionary, or everyone of the over 400 books in this resource at once. Disciplines covered are art, geography, history, law, literature, medicine, music, philosophy, psychology, religion, science, politics and technology. There are bi-lingual dictionaries in French, German, Italian, Latin, Spanish, Portuguese and even Welsh. There are hundreds of images from the Bridgeman Art Library Archive that represents a large part of the complete collection and which were chosen for suitability for web use. There are books on biographies from the Biographical Dictionary of 20th Century Philosophers to the Wisden Archive of Cricketeer’s Lives, 2009. There are handbooks covering the disciplines, like Handbook of Aging and Social Sciences, Handbook of Environmental Sociology, A Handbook of Globalisation and Environmental Policy and Handbook of Research on the Education of Young Children. For those of us who want to use a quote or know where a quote comes from, Credo Reference provides books on quotations from the Bible to those of members of Congress.
